World of Chinese Internet Cafes

The San Francisco Chronicle has taken a look at one of the typical Chinese Internet cafes in Shanghai.

In the article, SF Chronicle reporter Ellen Lee, in her China Chronicles 2007 series, takes a look at a typical Chinese Internet cafe in Shanghai.

What is typical to many cybercafes in the world today, especially in the developed world, many are playing online games at these cafes.

"Most of the men are playing computer games, from World of Warcraft to an online dancing competition game."

Smoking is allowed in many of these places, and for a tourist that has become accustomed to non-smoking environments, this can shorten the visit to such a PC bang.
