Seoul Internet Cafes
There is a whole culture in South Korea around the PC Bangs, something which has been studied by academics and journalists alike. For example, I like the site www.pcbangs.blogspot.com because it has lots of pictures of the PC Bangs signs you're likely to stumble across in Seoul. There are PC Bangs outside of South Korea as well and some say that a Korean run PC-Bang is a castle for every Korean, just like an Irish pub is for every Irish man. The phenomenon has been studied by, for example, at the paper "PC bang Inc.: The Culture and Business of PC bangs in Korea" by Jun-Sok Huhh of the Seoul National University - School of Economics, published in August 2007. The PC bang industry has taken off in a big way ever since the industry regulation was relaxed in 1998, with some 22,000 such internet cafes found throughout Korea as of early 2006. Korea National Tourism Organization Has free computer access to guests. Laputa Offers computers for web/email, as well as drinks and snacks.
