Asian Budget Airlines Add New Routes to Philippines

Philippines is attracting lots of new Asian budget airlines to the country's airports, and to the Diosdado Macapagal International Airport in the Clark Special Economic Zone north of Manila especially.

The Diosdado Macapagal International Airport is attractive to budget airlines as it charges low airport fees from the airlines and has several types of incentives to the airlines that start operations from the airport.

The low fare airlines that are currently in talks to start flights to the Diosdado Macapagal International Airport include Virgin Blue (an Australian budget airline) and Singapore-based budget carrier Valuair.

The Ninoy Aquino International Airport will also get budget carriers serving the airport, as Jetstar Asia will begin cheap flights from Singapore to the airport during April.
