Central Park NYC is one of the top attractions in New York City, and provides a nice contrast to the urban NYC life.

There are many ponds in central park and you can rest your feet on the benches that line the walkways around these ponds.
The central park also has popular wide open lawns that you can take your lunch basket to and spend a lazy weekend afternoon.
Every year about twenty five million people visit the park, but the park is so big, you won't find the place filled with tourists even when the summer season is at its most popular. Some of the highlights of the park include Central Park Zoo, the Central Park Conservatory Garden, and on the summer season you can time your visit to see the outdoor Delacorte Theater which provides the "Shakespeare in the Park" summer festival experience. A good place to start your tour of the park is from the Columbus circle, at the southwest corner of Central Park, which is a NYC attraction by itself. If your feet are too tired to tour the insides of the park, you can take a Pedicab, which are like the Asian rickshaws, but use a bicycle carriage to power the ride. If you plan to jog in the central park, like many locals do, a very popular route of 1.58-miles (2.54 km) goes around the central park Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir.
