barbados cruise deals

Barbados, which had in excess of 800 000 cruise passengers last year, has made new deals with cruise lines and the island of Puerto Rico, in order to try attract even more visitors this year.

In the past, the island of Puerto Rico has been a major gateway for cruising to the southern Caribbean and a much of the traffic to Barbados generated from there, therefore the new alliance between Puerto Rico and Barbados.

The outlook for Barbados to exceed last year's numbers does not seem too good, as some of the major cruiselines have repositioned their routes, but the new deals may indeed have a counterbalancing effect on the visitor numbers.
