American Museum of Natural History NYC

American Museum of Natural History NYC is one of the most popular tourist attractions in NYC, and provides an interesting display of world's natural history.

The museum has exhibition space in a total of four floors, and you can purchase several different types of tickets to the available exhibitions.

The basic ticket buys you access into the general exhibition, which provides displays of the world's wonders, from the early human life to the natural life, including a wonderful oceanic life hall, in different displays.

You should allow several hours to tour the place, to see all the available displays from the bottom floor to the top.

It is perhaps best to start from the first floor, which has several of the most significant displays, including the "human origins" and "hall of ocean life", and work your way to the top floor, which houses the famous dinosaur displays, including the full skeleton of a tyrannosaurus rex.

Prepare to spend more time and money if you'd like to see the additional changing exhibitions, or the planetarium or the IMAX theater shows.

The museum has several shops, and there is in fact a shop on almost all floors of the museum. On the first floor, there is the main American Museum of Natural History shop, while the bottom floor has the planetarium shop, and on the top floor you can find the interesting Dino shop, with a focus on dinosaur memorabilia.
